Don't be fooled by inspectors or real estate agents giving away free security systems or Home warranties. Most major securities companies give you free standard security systems all you need to do is pay for monitoring. Home warranties that inspectors offer ( bought for approx. $20) do not cover everything, are limited( usually 90 days or less) and start at the time of inspection. So if you move in 30-60 days later you are covered for only 30 days. In fact depending on your condition and age of your home will limit coverage or your home will not be covered at all. These warranties will only  pay out max $500 if you are lucky. A real home warranty will cost around $500 or more for a year of coverage. Don't be fooled .  They are the ones that inspect for the realtors not the client!!
